The Best Beauty Accessory this Winter

Whether you like a bright red finish or whether you like to co-ordinate your fingers and your toes or even if you prefer a nice French manicure, nail polish has been most girls’ best beauty accessory for many years now. Your nail colour can be changed as easily as ABC, and you can match you nail colour to your choice in outfit. And this is why we all love polish!
However this year nail polish has been re-vamped and the newest trend isn’t just to have one colour, in fact it’s to have mini art on your nails for all to see. We have seen everything from extreme glitter to pictures on nails. Now this may be a little out of the box for some of you but those of you who want to try something different you can start small.

One of the most popular nail finishes is crackle and almost every brand has created their own version in a huge assortment of colors. The crackle or shatter effect lets the color underneath the finish show through the top. Another huge trend for almost every season has been metallic – everything from gold to bronze has been see and it’ll take you back to your childhood years.

Now my personal favorite is Barry M’s crackle effect in black, as it’s a really easy way to jazz up your nails and it’s different every time. I’m also obsessed with OPI glitter range at the moment – totally fab and flirty.
You can even get festive with your nails designs, although some designs will need a little more experience and practice. But the whole point in this fab trend is to have FUN!!

Versace for H&M lookbook

Ever since it was announced that power-house Versace will join forces with H&M, everyone’s been buzzing with anticipation about the collection. Now, just a few weeks before the collection launches, H&M have released the lookbook.
Versace for H&M includes men’s wear and women’s wear, and for the first time home furnishings too. Prices will range from £19.99 to £200 for clothing, with home furnishings up to £150 (for a cushion?!).
The line launches in 300 stores worldwide on November 17th here and November 19th in America.
Whether the collection is a hit or not depends on the sales, but no matter its outcome I truly cannot wait!

Fashion Fabulous in Home Town

Mayhem descended on a small, quiet town in the cotswolds this past weekend as fashion greats came out to celebrate up and coming designers.

On saturday my local village, Painswick, held the wearable art festival which was set up by local fabric maestro Tim Davies. With judges that included Savannah Miller and Lulu Guinness this was one fashion fabulous event! I absolutely loved the whole day; the whole community came out to celebrate our future fashionistas and I even managed a cheeky natter with Keith Allen (Lily’s dad!) My faves came from the children, who all used recycled materials to create their fab designs.

                                                    Congrats to everyone involved xx
